Would Kate Walsh be willing to return to save 'Grey's Anatomy' when if Katherine Heigl and TR Knight depart the Seattle hospital drama series? When she arrived at a pre-Oscar party in Beverly Hills Wednesday night, Us magazine popped the question to the star of 'Private Practice.'
"I might," she boldly predicted. "I'm not gonna say. Who knows what's in the mind of [show creator] Shonda Rhimes."
Private Practice, the Grey's spin-off, has decent ratings so kudos to Kate to have a foot in both camps, even though Grey's could be nearing the end of its run ... unless Addison returns to Seattle. Most fans agree that Kate's Addy lights up Seattle Grace like no other character, and gives Grey's the spark that the tired show needs.
Kate talked about her recent guest spot on Grey's and called the experience fantastic. "I loved it," she told Us. "I'm really thrilled, and I think it's always fun to go back."
The actress says she doing well personally following her December split from Alex Young after their brief two year marriage.
"I'm about to wrap Private Practice and I'm having a great time. I'm thrilled with the numbers, and I'm in a great place."
