The horror show that is Michael Jackson's skin has seriously affected the singer's health. According to reports, Jackson is receiving antibiotics (via an IV drip) to combat a horrifying infection that has spread throughout his entire body and threatens to eat his flesh.
Reports are that Jackson has contracted an acute MRSA staph infection following more cosmetic surgery on his nose.
“The infection has spread throughout his face and body and is being aggressively treated by doctors," a source told The Sun.
"There’s a chance it could turn into a flesh-eating disorder where it begins to kill off his skin so he’s being very carefully monitored.”
The Sun newspaper says the singer was recently seen coming out of a Beverly Hills health clinic where his hands and face appeared "inflamed and blotchy" because of the Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection.
Hollywood gossip Mike Evans is also hearing that the situation could be dire. Evans once got to within a foot of Jackson at the singer's trial 9 years ago for child molestation, and had a good look at him. He said even then that the skin on Jackson's face and hands was "scaly ... fish-like scaly" and "grey."
Jackson has always insisted he suffers from a skin condition called vitiligo, a chronic skin disease which causes loss of pigment. But in reality it is due to years of bleaching his skin which has done this incredible and painful damage.
