A Beverly Hills Cop pulled Jodie Foster over for speeding recently which isn't gossipy blogworthy ... until she had a hissy fit on camera. It turns out the cop was accompanied by a TV crew for "Speeders" who were filming when the Prius was clocked doing 54 mph in a 35 mph zone and was pulled over.
Foster's emotional reaction to getting a ticket is exactly what the show hopes for but the famous Foster refused to be a part of the reality show.
A source tells Page Six, "Foster refused to sign a waiver to appear on the show, so the camera crew ceased filming and returned to the police car. But she grew quite agitated and angry, and kept insisting to the police officers that the radar gun must have made a mistake."
"She maintained to the officers that she was only going 30 mph at the time they pulled her over, and she kept interrupting and complaining that the process was taking too long."
During Foster's fit, the officer had to summon his supervisor to come to the scene, "which just further annoyed her," says the source.
"Despite her numerous requests otherwise, the cops still issued her a citation."
Beverly Hills Police spokesman Lt. Tony Lee told Page Six: "She was upset that she got pulled over, but she signed the ticket and went on her way."
Hey, why the drama? You got caught doing 54 mph. Just sign the citation and pay the fine, Jodie. That's what the rest of us do.
