Jessica Alba says the press spoiled her wedding day by releasing news of the double secret event of the 8-month-pregnant and engaged Alba to Cash Warren. She says her parents learned about it through another source rather than from their own daughter.
God forbid that she ask her own freaking parents to attend her once-in-a-lifetime wedding to the father of her child - but hey, that's not the issue here!
The Fantastic Four actress married Warren in a quickie ceremony at a public place - the Beverly Hills Courthouse in Los Angeles - last May just weeks before she gave birth to the couple's daughter Honor Marie.
But Alba says now she was pissed when news of her 'secret' nuptials leaked because the world found out about it before she had a chance to tell her parents.
"The person who helped us sign the documents told the press that day, so my parents found out from a reporter before we got to tell them," Jessica tells Elle magazine.
"Journalists feel entitled to do whatever it takes to get a sensational story, no matter how it affects the person involved. We're not really people, right? We're just celebrities."
"We were planning to take [my parents] out to dinner and tell them, but that got ruined. I was more hurt, probably, than anything. It's not the first time something like that has happened."
If anyone should be "hurt" it's probably her parents for having such a thoughtless daughter. She could have phoned and told them she was about to elope - or invited them to the courthouse to witness the happy event.
