Jared Padalecki rocks! The "Supernatural" TV star scored BIG in the Valentine's Day weekend box office. His horror remake "Friday the 13th" proved to be THE date movie to take your girl too as it smashed its way to the top with a take of $42.2 million. It slashing the Jennifer Aniston and all-star cast film, "He's Just Not That Into You," into second place at $19 million.
He also beat out his co-star Jensen Ackles's 3D slasher flick "My Bloody Valentine," which also debuted this month.
In the possibly the best Friday film yet (it's bloody awesome), Jared plays Clay Miller who arrives at Jason's Crystal Lake stomping grounds looking for his missing sister. You know how this is going to end -- he'll have to battle the murderous hockey mask wearing Jason Voorhees.
If you love scary old school slasher movies, gratuitous T & A, teens that are too pretty to be every day people, and a high body count, you'll enjoy Padelecki's Friday remake. Definitely worth the price of admission - lots of suspense, scares. It's an enjoyable sex, drugs, and death romp.
