Queen Latifah has become the victim of a robbery on vacation, and a resort staffer may be the culprit. The singer/actress was staying at the $1,000-per-night Stone Haven Villas in Black Rock, Tobago, with a female friend when someone robbed her of $10,000 worth of jewelry.
Latifah, who checked in under the name Cynthia Hadden, reportedly returned from a barbecue brunch to discover a bracelet, two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring were missing.
A local newspaper in Tobago reports that a staff member of the resort is a suspect in the jewelry heist.
According to E! Online, Latifah was spending the Christmas holidays on the island and wants the jewelry returned, because it has sentimental value to her.
Police Commissioner James Philbert tells Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday, "Several searches are being carried out and the police are trying to have the jewelery returned to Queen Latifah. Investigators said the larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the clock to make a breakthrough."

Comments
FYI, it was not Queen Latifah that was robbed of her possessions it was one of her entourage. Also, despite what happened she had a great time and will return to the island.
