Eva Mendes has been making the rounds promoting her new film "The Spirit" and giving her opinion on whiny actresses. She is also blasting Hollywood for being sexist. But, hey, that doesn't mean she minds getting naked for a part when it calls for it.
She said, "[My character Saref is] so kick-ass in every way. She's such a smart dame, that part of her sexuality, part of getting what she wants, is turning up the sex. So yeah, I had no problem with taking my clothes off for this role."
The "Ghost Rider" star also says that being beautiful in Hollywood is "easy', but the real challenge for any actress is being overweight.
"It really rubs me up the wrong way when I hear these actresses saying it's so hard to be beautiful to get respect in this industry," she told The Daily Mirror.. "It sounds so arrogant. The easiest thing in this industry is to be beautiful. Try being overweight."
However, the 34-year-old confessed that she was "nervous" to see her naked backside on screen in 'The Spirit' because she thought the shot was supposed to be in silhouette.
"When I saw the film, I was with Frank Miller," she said. "I gave a nervous laugh and said, 'Erm, Frank, that's definitely not a silhouette'. And he's like, 'Yeah, but it's fantastic!'"
Eva also says she hates being quizzed about alleged feuds with her female co-stars.
She added: "It's a very sexist way of thinking. Nobody ever asks that when men work together in an ensemble cast. I have been in the business 10 years and I've never had a negative situation with another actress - ever!"
The Spirit also stars Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L Jackson.
