Boy George has been given 15 months behind bars for falsely imprisoning a mail escort in 2007 by chaining him to a wall in his London flat, and then beating him.
At his sentencing in east London, Judge David Radford called the singer "callous" and said he was guilty of "gratuitous violence" and "degrading" premeditated actions, adding that he had traumatized his victim.
After doing drugs and taking nude photographs of the escort, Audun Carlsen, the Culture Club singer accused him of messing with his computer. He then handcuffed him to the wall. Carlsen says the Boy beat him after that, a charge which the singer still denies.
When freed, the Norwegian Carlsen, 29, fled in his undies and alerted police.
Carlsen says the Boy accused him of stealing photos of himself from a laptop, taken when the pair met three months earlier. He added that Boy George made up the story about computer tampering so he could punish him for not having sex.
Said Carlsen, "I think he couldn't handle the refusal -- me not having sex with him."
