Who knew Islamic extremists were so into pop culture? Actually, they aren't. If you caught the news yesterday that British singer Amy Winehouse's name was put on some sort of Terror Target List, rest easy that the Beehive is safe... from extremists that is. She's still working on trying to kill herself.
The forum Ummah.com has issued a press release that the story was concocted by a British journalist who may or may not work for The Sun, the newspaper that originally posted the story and spread like wildfire around the internet.
The Sun newspaper ran a story Wednesday that comments made on Ummah.com suggest that muslims should go all fatwah on famous Jews.
A post on the forum called for users to compile "a list of top Jews we can target," which included the singer's name.
"Top Jews"? Since when are crack whores considered the creme de la creme of Jewish society?
Amy is still safe to carry on her nasty drug habit and alcohol fueled nights.
