Boy George and his lawyers tried every defense in the world to justify why the ex-Culture Club frontman had chained a naked male escort to a wall and whipped him.
The London jury didn't buy it. Instead, they sided with Audun Carlsen, 29, who claimed that George O'Dowd, aka Boy George, 46, had handcuffed him and beat him with a metal chain. Now that he's been found guilty, George faces "custodial" jail time for the false imprisonment and attack on the Norwegian male prostitute in the singer's London home last year.
Judge David Radford told the singer it was likely he would be sent to prison when he is sentenced on January 16.
"This is a case where custody is the more likely option," Judge Radford said, adding: "The fact that your bail is being continued does not imply that this will be dealt with by a non-custodial sentence. I don't want any false expectations created."
George told police after his initial arrest in April 2007 that Carlsen had obtained lewd photos of the singer from his laptop without asking permission.
Carlsen told the court that George made up the photos story in order to punish him for not having sex with the singer during a previous meeting between the two, reports The Scotsman .
