With the cases finally closed on 'Boston Legal,' William Shatner is moving on to a new gig, a Biography Channel talk show called 'Raw Nerve.' And he can't wait to have on George Takei so he can finally discover what's really bugging the forever jealous Takei.
“George has been mean to me for a long time — I mean, decades and decades,” Shatner said in a recent YouTube video. “I’m not mad at him. I’m just annoyed that he keeps saying mean things about me ... I just wish he’d stop.”
Yet, failing to see the irony in the situation, Shatner couldn't resist tossing out a bit of an embarrassing exchange he once had with Takei.
After Takei learned that his Sulu character would get his own ship, Shatner says. “I remember saying to him, ‘George, you’re going to be on another starship and all the action takes place on our starship; aren’t you going to be missing that?’” Shatner recalled. “He said, ‘Yes, but I’ll have my own starship.’ I didn’t want to remind him that this was fiction and not reality. I didn’t want to destroy his world.”
