Papa and manager Joe Simpson says his daughter Ashlee Simpson matured and became a grown woman overnight when she found out she was pregnant with Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz's baby.
Fans don't know the exact due date but it's apparently quite soon. Daddy Joe gave an interivew to People.com and says the young couple are ready for the big day. Cuz like, Pete and Ashlee are all grown-up now.
Joe tells People.com, "The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman. She's concerned about what she eats and how she prepares for the child and is the baby's room 'green' enough? It's a transformation you never expect as a parent - you pray for it, but never expect it. She's ready for this baby!"
Joe also says his son-in-law is keyed in to the coming chaos. "Pete is the king of details, so he wants to make sure the baby's room is just right - the right colors, the right sheets, the right look. He's a great parent."
They probably have a name picked out but Joe says he can't reveal anything.
"I'm not allowed to give any hints. I can tell you it's not Joe. I wished, I tried, but it didn't work."
