While Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson is mourning the murders of her mother, brother and young nephew, she's been given a quiet place to grieve by talk show diva Oprah Winfrey.
Jennifer's world was rocked on October 24 when her mom Darnell and brother Jason were found dead after being shot in the family's home on Chicago's south side. Her sister Julia's son, 7-year-old Julian, was abducted and found dead three days later.
The Oscar winner has remained in Chicago following the funerals.
A source tells Star magazine, "Jennifer has been staying at Oprah's East Lake Shore Drive condo. There's plenty of privacy and security there."
Sadly, Jennifer blames herself for the tragic murder of her family because she wasn't able to convince them to leave the neighborhood.
Family friend, Sharita Dickey, said: "Jennifer grew up on Chicago's South Side and knew all about the violence. She was able to get out, and wanted to take her mama with her, but Darnell said no."
