Pregnant actress Jennifer Garner has made public the sad fact that she has been the target of a crazed stalker since 2002. The fan, who's name is Steven Burky, has become so obsessed with the former Alias star that Jennifer has gone to court to get the current restraining order she has against him made permanent.
The website TMZ reports that Burky once showed up on her front door and made the odd pronouncement that "God has sent him a vision of her being persecuted in some manner that may result in her death."
Burky also follows her around the country, sends her letters and blogs about her on the Internet, Jennifer says.
"Mr. Burky's repeated efforts to contact me, his delusional and paranoid letters, his appearance at my private residence, and his recent claims that I will be 'persecuted' in a manner that may result in my death are all extremely frightening," she wrote in court papers.
Jennifer, the wife of Ben Affleck, also stated: "I now fear not only for my personal safety, but also for the safety and well-being of those that I love and care about most, including my husband and daughter. Also, I am currently pregnant and fear for the safety of my second child once born."
Sources tell TMZ that Burky is currently under a 5150 psychiatric hold and that he's being investigated by the LAPD.
This is a sad story since Jennifer is one of the truly nice people to work in Hollyweird.
