Britney Spears had to rush her two-year-old son Jayden to a hospital emergency room in Mississippi on Sunday afternoon after he suffered a suspected seizure. News reports say the toddler "collapsed" at the home in Kentwood, Louisiana. He was admitted and kept overnight for observation.
Baby daddy Kevin Federline will be flying in from his home in Los Angeles to join his ex-wife at their son's hospital bedside.
Reports say its the first time Britney has been able to travel with her sons since K-Fed got custody last spring while the pop singer dealt with a number of personal issues following the divorce.
As to what happened to Jayden, a source told the DailyMail: "One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill. He was vague and unresponsive so Britney called an ambulance."
The hospital across the state line in Mississippi is approximately 25 miles away from Kentwood. When Britney was told it would take a half an hour for an ambulance to arrive, she then decided to drive him there herself.
Doctors have not yet determined what is wrong with him.
'Britney was insistent that (she) wouldn't leave him," the source said. "She asked for a bed to be made up in the same room so she could be there at his side."
