So what really happened on the set of Ugly Betty? Did America Ferrara and Lindsay Lohan have a falling out causing tension on the set? What was the reason Lilo's six-episode stint was cut short to four?
The New York Post reported that the actresses engaged in a power struggle over who was the real star. But Mom Dina says the ugly rumors of a spat between Linds and America are not true and that the whole thing is 'silly.'
Sources told the Post that Lohan had brought an entourage onto the New York set with her, but Dina denied it, telling People.com, "It was just silly. America's a doll. And they said (Lindsay) brought a posse. It was my mother and myself, and (sister) Ali. It was not a posse."
We can give Linds the benefit of the doubt this time, but it's remains to be seen how well she can revive her career at this point if she has to battle rumors she was difficult to work with on Ugly Betty. Because things are not going in a good way for Lindsay right now. According to msnbc.com, an insider says Linds has no other work lined up because of her party girl reputation.
“It’s over for Lindsay.She’s got no film work, after this (‘Ugly Betty’ news) she’s not going to land TV jobs; I hear she’s tried to get on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and can’t.”
Well I can't believe Lilo is trying to get on 'Dancing' so that this as just another rumor. But the 'insider' went on to say: “It’s not a matter of will she show up or not anymore, it’s that she can’t carry a movie, she’s just not a draw anymore. When you aren’t a draw, you aren’t going to get auditions. It’s that simple.”
Another industry source told msnbc: “Every project she’s had has fallen through. She’s not even filling up her time with independent films, which is usually the strategy when work gets slow. She’s a good actress, she’s just stuck right now.”
