30 Rock star Tina Fey has been spoofing Alaska Governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live for a couple of weeks now but she says she'll put an end to it should McCain/Palin win the election in November.
Fey tells TV Guide: “Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election. And that lady is a media star. She is a fascinating person, she’s very likeable. She’s fun to play, and the two bits with Amy Poehler (as Hillary Clinton), that was super fun.”
But....
Fey says that she doesn't want to overdo it. She adds, “We’re gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I’m done. I can’t do that for four years."
"And by ‘I’m done,’ I mean I’m leaving Earth.”
Palin as been very very good to SNL this season: the ratings for the show are up huge - by double digits - and Fey's turn as Palin has also made the show a hit in Internet reruns.
