Comedienne Sarah Silverman isn't everyone's cup of tea - especially not the British. Someone thought that Silverman was something popular in the US and that it would be a good idea to have her haul her lame ass act to London. She bombed. And in record time!
Silverman had done her short little set and left the stage, only to be forced to return by the show's handlers since the audience, feeling they didn't get their money's worth, refused to leave. With no other material to do, the stand-up comedienne had to do a Q&A session. Hilarity ensued...
BBC Radio 1 reporter Kev Geoghegan reported Silverman look quite unhappy to have to return to the stage to face the unimpressed rabble.
Fans shouted things like "you're over-hyped Sarah" and "I've seen longer clips on YouTube", before the stand-up told the audience to "go home" and then left the stage herself.
"A lot of people who paid £45 a ticket would have been aggrieved," Geoghegan said. "For a gig that size of 3,600 people and a first night in London to show people what all the fuss in America is about her, she could've done more - she should have been able to fill for another 20 minutes."
First off, people, there is no FUSS in America over Sarah Silverman. She's overhyped, she's Jimmy Kimmel's girlfriend and that's the end of it!
