Samantha Ronson's lawyer was no match for the lawyer of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton who was successfully defended in his libel suit against his favorite celeb target - Lindsay's lesbian lover. Not only did Sam lose the lawsuit, she was ordered by the judge to pay Perez' court costs.
Ronson forked over a fat check for $86,832 to settle the matter. So who paid the bill? Was it Lindsay Lohan, who's a multi-millionaire, or Sam, who's a trust fund baby and doesn't need to work?
Not that it matters - Perez makes $80,000 to $100,000 per month and isn't hurting for the money either.
Yahoo news reported that the battle started in July 2007 when "the celebrity DJ sued Perez (aka Mario Lavandeira) for defamation after he reported that Ronson owned the cocaine found in Lilo's car after a May 2007 crash. A judge threw out the case in January 2008 and ruled that Ronson had to pay for Hilton's legal fees, which she hadn't done up until now."
Which is really screwed up when you think about it. Perez hates Sam, slanders her and says the drugs were hers (with NO PROOF - even if Lilo was covering for Sam - talk about true love!), yet SHE has to pay when the case is dismissed?
