O.J. Simpson and his accomplice and partner in crime Clarence "C.J." Stewart were both found guilty of felony armed robbery and kidnapping last Friday. The duo and a bunch of gun-toting thugs tried to rob a bunch of sports memorabilia collectors in a Las Vegas hotel.
Simpson, 61, and Stewart, 54, face mandatory minimum sentences of five years in prison and could get a lot more than that. In fact, the Juice could be in his seventies before he sees freedom again.
Orenthal was shocked at the verdict, and was quite somber when he was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom to a holding cell. He'll remain in jail until his sentencing in December. But he did have a few choice words about all the bother: “I can’t believe I’m in here for this nothing incident,” he said.
Kidnapping is punishable by five years to life in prison. Armed robbery carries a mandatory sentence of at least two years behind bars, and could bring as much as 30 years - which basically means life in prison for OJ.
“He’s strong. He’s just in shock,” said OJ's friend Tom Scotto. “His first concern is his kids. He wanted to make sure they were okay.”
Simpson lawyer Yale Galanter confirmed Sunday that Simpson’s NFL pension won’t be affected by the criminal conviction and that Simpson’s children are the beneficiaries. The pension pays about $25,000 a month.

That is what he gets. They really convicted him for the murders. That's ALL.

What a shame for all concerned to end up this way...reminds me when my husband and i were v young and people we lease optioned our 2 year old mobile home to stopped paying and stole the trailer moving behind a country house barn..we found where it was and went by ourselves..guaranteed if we had a gun, or they did..it would have ended up v tragically...should have had police accompany and didn't think it was necessary...as "they" say ignorance of the law is no excuse...but once there i was terrified as i was 6 months pregnant, waiting in the car while husband went thru the barn to find the trailer and people...they could have killed him,.,,then me,,,Not one single adult much older and supposedly wiser than we were in our 20's advised even calling the police...do hope the sentence will certainly not be 10 years or more...but also feel there was some revenge as i now like everyone believe he truly did kill his wife and poor Ron....all i can say...just terrible to fall so far when OJ was so far up the ladder...no doubt this will change his attitude..but right now doesn't understand he was part of anything wrong...and thats bad!!
