Madonna seems to have gone into complete meltdown now that she and hubby Guy Ritchie have stopped faking about their marriage that apparently went bad a few years ago. She took to mocking him on stage recently, referring to someone unnamed as being "emotionally retarded," even though it's obvious she's referring to her estranged husband.
Now that they've officially announced their split, Guy seems to be staying silent, doing the stiff upper lip English gentleman thing, while insiders are running to the tabloids to spill the beans on all the sordid details of the marriage.
But Madonna was the one to draw first blood.
In front of thousands of fans in Boston on Wednesday, she was introducing the song 'Miles Away' - which was inspired by Guy - when she offered this dig: "This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall into that category. God knows I do."
Where did it all go wrong?
The Sun in London had an interesting article that it was Vadge's horseback riding accident three years ago when she came unglued. She broke bones and was in a lot of pain, yet didn't feel Guy was sufficiently groveling and attentive and sympathetic in her time of emotional need.
A close family friend told the Sun: “From the moment Madonna fell from that horse, their marriage was doomed.
“If you can pinpoint an exact event or incident which spelled the death knell for them as a couple, Madonna’s horse-riding accident was it. Every other row the couple had following that boiled down to what happened that summer.”
