We've heard the stories about Janet Jackson being mysteriously sick - so much so that she's had to cancel six dates on her Rock Witchu tour. Is it really vertigo as her brother, or someone posing as her brother, Randy, said on a fan website?
But a former family spokesperson is calling BS on the excuses - the ex-employee says it's because the 42-year-old isn't getting the love from her fans that was once there. In other words, they ain't buying tickets to her shows!
The insider, who goes by the name Phoenix, says: "They are pulling out due to bad ticket sales. Janet might have been one of the greatest pop icons in her time. But Janet Jackson, at 42 years old, does not have the same appeal as in '89 with 'Rhythm Nation.' Other artists took that throne -- Ashanti and Beyonce. This is what you call a publicity stunt."
Phoenix is referring to Janet postponing several shows lately while Janet's reps said she was not fully recovered from her mysterious illness.
Reps for the singer say she became "suddenly ill" and was hospitalized in Montreal shortly after she arrived for a show on September 29. She also canceled concerts in Boston and Philadelphia as well.
So what is going on? It's been a rough time for Janet this year - she has experienced poor album sales for one thing. Her latest, "Discipline," released last February, is considered to be one her best albums in years, but has barely sold 500,000 copies.
But Janet is ready to get her act together and head back out. A statement from tour promoter Live Nation said: "Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever."

Well if she's not doing well, why did she sell out her shoes in LA, las Vegas, and DC? Huh? Ok then!
