Sometimes the paps are so out of order you gotta slam em down and start wailing on them. That's what "300" actor Gerard Butler did yesterday morning when he finally had enough of being harassed and followed by an aggressive paparazzo.
Ana Aguirre of the L.A. police department says photographer Mark Morgan Kreusch filed a police report accusing the 38-year-old actor of misdemeanor battery.
TMZ reports that the pap was following the actor in his car and snapping pics after he left a bar in LA. The photog face required stitches in his lip from his encounter with Butler's fist.
Kreusch says Butler jumped out of his limo, reached through Kreusch's window, grabbed him by the throat and hit him several times, mostly in the back of the head but at least once on the lip.
The paparazzo says Butler also kicked his car, all the while yelling, "Oh, you want a photo? You want to photograph me?"
Investigators plan to contact Butler over the report, which names the Scottish-born actor as a suspect for the misdemeanor battery charge.
