Don't expect to see a lot of young Dakota Fanning in her new movie "Winged Creatures," because the Australian film director Rowan Woods thought she was such a little shit on set that he's cut many of her scenes.
The movie has a large ensemble cast which the director found to be a pleasure to work with - except for teenage diva Dakota who threw a hissy fit on her first day of shooting and refused to come out of her trailer, says the director.
She initially refused to start work on day one because her scene wasn’t filmed first, he said, and the actress seemed to be “intensely jealous” of her young co-star Josh Hutcherson.
“Everyone was on their best behavior on this film because they have got a `really serious Australian director who is known for his ensemble work’,” Woods said in an interview. “She was the only one who was naughty.”
The film takes place in a Los Angeles diner as a group of strangers form a unique relationship with each other after surviving a random shooting.
The movie has a huge cast including Guy Pierce and Kate Beckinsale.
Woods said that, while he thinks Fanning is a good actress, she wasn't a team player with this effort.
“She is a gorgeous girl … but she was the disaster,” he said. “There was something about her presence that wasn’t ringing true. Most of our work was cutting her scenes and a lot of her scenes were cut.”
