Katy Perry Says Her Ex-Hippy Parents Aren't Cool With Her Songs

katy perry“I Kissed A Girl” singer Katy Perry makes quite a few revelations in her October interview in Blender magazine. For one thing, she claims her wild ex-hippy mom, Mary Hudson, dated rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Katy says her mom ran away from home, toured the world, and hooked up with the guitarist in Spain when he "just came up to her in a club and picked her out."

Katy says her dad was an LSD dealer, whose friendship with acid king Timothy Leary, nearly killed him. "He would have died from one tab too many if he hadn't found God."

Travis Barker Talks About His Recovery and Fear of Flying

travis barkerDrummer Travis Barker is on the mend after being involved in the jet crash that injured he and his friend, DJ AM, and killed four others. Barker suffered second and third degree burns on his hands and lower body but was able to give an interview to Us magazine during his stay at the Grossman Burn Treatment center in L.A.

He says: "I hate planes. My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash, so when that happened … well, I’m just thankful to be alive! I’m just grateful to be here at all."

gerald butlerSometimes the paps are so out of order you gotta slam em down and start wailing on them. That's what "300" actor Gerard Butler did yesterday morning when he finally had enough of being harassed and followed by an aggressive paparazzo.

Ana Aguirre of the L.A. police department says photographer Mark Morgan Kreusch filed a police report accusing the 38-year-old actor of misdemeanor battery.
