Are Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd ready to strap unlicensed nuclear accelerator ectoplasm blasters on their backs for a third Ghostbusters film? That's what the buzz is, and original cast members and fellow fighters of pesky poltergeists Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson will be joining them.
Now let's only hope this isn't TRUE!
The new picture is said to be written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who both worked on the American version of TV's The Office. There is no word on whether director Ivan Reitman, who made both the 1984 original and its 1989 sequel, would direct the third movie or be involved in any way.
Talk about being disturb by strange thoughts and feelings of dread! With the recent failure of the X-Files movie and lukewarm appeal of reviving the Indiana Jones francise with Shia LaBeouf, it's a mistake to touch this classic from 1984. If you want to see a great movie - watch the original over and over.
Let's hope they change their minds or fail to find funding, because I can't imagine these guys will be able to recapture magic after 25 years.
