Comedienne and 30 Rock starTina Fey returned to her old stomping ground of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ to play Repub VP nominee Sarah Palin alongside Amy Poehler who did a turn as Hillary Clinton.
Asked what Gov. Palin thought of the skit, a spokesperson said ""She thought it was quite funny - particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween."
Fey was pitch perfect of course, right down to the vaguely Canadian-raising accent when she said of the Alaska governor's view on foreign policy experience, "I can see Russia from my house!"
The two "politicians" spoke of sexism in the political race with Poehler as Hillary saying "stop saying I have cankles," and Fey/Palin saying "and stop Photoshopping my head on sexy bikini pictures!"
Eventually, Poehler/Hillary has a meltdown of jealousy and rage taking Fey/Palin to task for having an easy "dogsled ride" to the White House while she has "scratched and clawed through mud and barbed wire" only to fall short. (But no mention of dodging sniper fire.)
No matter what you're political lean is - it's too funny as satire to miss. Watch the video at nbc.com.
