Aptly titled "Disaster Movie," the Vanessa Minnillo, Carmen Electra, and Kim Kardashian bomb pokes fun at pop culture, movie trailers, and public figures. But to include the obvious - like trying to be funny, entertaining, and worthy of a $9 theater ticket.
Featuring lame jokes, gross-outs, and hot women, 'Disaster Movie' is aimed at an audience of 14-year-old boys only. How bad is it as a movie? It's a bomb at the box office and is gaining cred as The Worst. Movie. Ever. Made.
Has any other movie managed to score a ZERO on rottentomatoes.com? It even raced to the top, er, bottom, of IMBD's list of the 100 worst films ever made.
The synopsis of Disaster Movie reads: The movie follows the comic misadventures of a group of ridiculously attractive twenty-somethings during one fateful night as they try to make their way to safety while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event - asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, the works – hits the city and their path as they try to solve a series of mysteries to end the rampant destruction.
They gave this sucker a $25 million budget and it made $6.5 million on its opening weekend. It came in 7th at the box office but that $6.5 million goes to show that there are too many idiots out there willing to part with their money and two hours of life to sit through crap like this.
This was a horrible career move for Carmen and Vanessa, but about par for Kim - who started out last week badly with an injured foot and her "Dancing with the Stars" hopes possibly fading, and ended the week with a Disaster of a Movie debut.
