Just days after being involved in a one-car accident, Dark Knight star Morgan Freeman has confirmed to Access Hollywood through a spokesperson that he and his wife of 24-years, costumer Myrna Colley-Lee, “are involved in a divorce action.”
Apparently, it's not all that sudden - his business partner Bill Luckett says: For legal and practical purposes, they have been separated since December of 2007.”
Freeman and a female passenger, Demaris Meyer, were on the way to Freeman’s home in Mississippi when they're car crashed Sunday night. Freeman was driving when the car went off the right side of the road and flipped end over end.
The doors were jammed on the vehicle and both of them had to be removed from the car with the Jaws of Life.
Though he suffered a broken arm, broken elbow and shoulder damage, Freeman was conscious as he was pulled him from the car, and was able to talk and joke with the rescue workers.

It's always ashame when anybody's marriage ends. But it is nobody's business who Mr. Freeman was with, his fans are just glad he was able to come out of that accident with his sense of humor still in tact. I for one am glad God was with him that night.
