Mary-Kate Olsen is refusing to be questioned by federal investigators who are looking into the accidental drug death of The Dark Knight actor Heath Ledger unless she receives immunity from prosecution. The New York Post is reporting that the feds could get a grand-jury subpoena to compel the wierd actress to tell them what she knows about Ledger's drug use and the events leading up to his death.
Olsen is in the middle of the controversy because she was the first person called - not 911 - when a masseuse found Ledger dead in his apartment.
Investigators have interviewed everyone connected to Ledger and his death, including his doctors, the masseuse, bodyguards, housekeepers, business associates and even the mother of his 2-year-old daughter, Matilda, his "Brokeback Mountain" co-star Michelle Williams.
"Ms. Williams was extremely nice and cooperative," a source said.
Another added, "Everyone has been very eager to help, saying what a great guy Heath Ledger was, everyone except Mary-Kate, who has refused to speak."
The medical examiner ruled that Ledger died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs and OxyContin - which was obtain illegally - and that's why they want to talk to Olsen to see if she knows something about where he got his drugs and medicines.
The New York Police Department closed their files on the case but the DEA (US Drug Enforcement Administration) opened an investigation to determine the sources of The Joker's drugs.
She must be hiding something. Why else would the masseuse call her and MK send bodyguards - rather than call an ambulance?
