Sad news: Stand-up comic and actor Bernie Mac died at early Saturday morning in a Chicago hospital. He only 50 years old but pneumonia took him down!
"Actor/ comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist said in a statement. "No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family's privacy continues to be respected."
On Friday, a spokeswoman for the star of "The Bernie Mac Show", whose real name is, Bernard McCullough, said that he had been responding well to treatment for pneumonia and denied earlier rumors that he had died.
Smith said Thursday in a statement that Mac's condition is ''stable.''
Smith said Mac's pneumonia wasn't related to sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease Mac also had. That condition was in remission since 2005.

I have never been a person that has been caught up on people, I love them because that is who I am, but I've never been impressed with as some would say "movie star" or "famous people" we are all famous, but something happened to me this morning when I woke to the new of Bernie Mac being dead.At first I got angry with my kids because I thought they were playing some type of sick, not very funny joke, or that one of their crazy friend had text them some foolishnes like that thinking it was funny, but then I turned on my television and there it was. At age 50 years old Bernard Jeffery McCullough was gone. I don't know why I can't stop thinking about Rhonda and Je'Niece I mean it's not like I know these people personally. I'm not some stalker that knows or knew every aspect of Bernies life, hell I didn't even know half the movies he had played in and if it hadn't been for the Bernie Mac Show I wouldn't know as much about him as an actor as I do now. I haven't even seen the Kings of comedy yet, so yall know I'm behind (lol)This one just really hit home for me. I want Rhonda, Je'Niece, the immediate family Steve Harvey and his work have, personal friends and all those that had the opportunity to know him as the man, the father and the friend that many of us never knew. Truly the prayers of my husband Pastor Frederick and myself are with you daily. I'm trying to figure out why I can't stop crying. Rhonda and Niecy, I am so sorry, I'm so very sorry, but I pray that during this time God will strenghten you like never before and fill you with His presence,His Joy and His comfort. I actually had to get my 14 year old daughter to show me how to do this, I've never blogged a day in my life. I am praying with and for you and know that you do not carry this burden alone. I loved Bernie Mac, Niecy I guess there was a part of him that I shared with you and I saw him as a father myself. He was an inspiritation and just like you. I will never forget him.
Sincerely,
Melanise Frederick

I think that it's contemptable to ask if this man will be missed (yes or no). What kind of mindless chimps work for your organization? I won't even dignify that insipid question by and answer.
I was looking at another article when I saw the headline, and went to investigate. I'd never come here again.
