Morpheus Joins CSI: Laurence Fishburne Replaces Peterson

The Matrix's Laurence Fishburne will replace William Peterson at the CSI Las Vegas Crime Lab. Fishburne says he is "elated and delighted" to land the gig. The actor will reportedly portray a former pathologist turned college lecturer. He meets up with members of the CSI team during a homicide investigation – and ends up joining them.

But wait, there's a twist - he goes into CSI harboring a secret: his own genetic profile has been identified in serial killers.

Christina Applegate Clear of Breast Cancer

Here's some good news out of Hollywood for a change: actress Christina Applegate has been completely cleared of the BIG C: Cancer! The 'Samantha Who?' star paid a steep price for it after deciding to undergo a double mastectomy but the decision saved her life.

"I'm clear," Applegate, 36, says. "Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer."

Jennifer Lopez. T.i.thlon. Can you picture it? The new mom looks great after having twins six months ago but wants to get "back in shape" (read: lose 20 pounds) by training for the Malibu event next month. Now if she can just get her big hips into that lil swimming suit...

As to why she chose a triathlon as her training goal, J.Lo told Self magazine, “I thought, ‘What can I do to make my babies proud?’ I think about what they’ll think about the year they were born: who I was and what I did.”
