Madonna issued a subtle statement claiming she is "not romantically involved with Alex Rodriguez" - which doesn't mean much when you consider that you don't have to be romantic with someone necessarily to be having an affair with them. A-Rod's friends are saying he's having an affair with Madonna and has been seeing her for months.
Meanwhile, Alex's wife, C-Rod (Cynthia), has filed for divorce but it sounds like there's a lot more wrong in that union than just his infatuation with Madonna and Kaballah. C-Rod says A-Rod couldn't pick out his own 3-month-old daughter in a baby line-up becuz he's only seen her once - for 10 minutes.
A-Rod’s second child, Ella, was born April 21 in Miami. He apparently flew down there, arrived just after her birth, looked at her for 10 minutes, and headed back to New York. Sounds like he's much more obsessed with Madonna this spring than with his newborn daughter.
According to Fox news, Rodriguez rented a secret apartment in the condos above the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NY and it was there "that he and Madonna may have met to discuss Kabbalah or baseball or the song choices for Madonna’s upcoming tour."
Oddly enough, Madonna has moved her rehearsals from London to Brooklyn for the “Sweet and Sticky Tour.” The reason it's odd is because the tour begins in the UK on Aug. 23 and doesn’t come to the US until October 4 at the New Jersey Meadowlands.
In February, the 32-year-old third baseman expressed his love for Madonna to a friend, who told Us magazine: "She's my fucking soulmate, dude."
C-Rod filed for divorce six days after Us Weekly broke the news that her husband was making late night visits to Madonna's apartment.
So was it an affair? "Without talking about specifics of sexual conduct, there's no question," her attorney, Earle Lilly, tells Us. "No one very often has pictures of the actual sex itself."
As for Madonna, what is she thinking? Her Kaballah religion won’t allow a divorce. She denying the fling with A-Rod, but he's not exactly denying it, his friends say it's true, his wife is divorcing him over it (the last straw?) and Madonna’s brother calls her a pathological liar.
