A paparazzi snapper is suing Woody Harrelson for $2.5 million, after the No Country For Old Men actor assaulted him and smashed his video camera during an incident in Hollywood in June 2006.
Josh Levine filed the lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, in which he alleges that Harrelson attempted to choke him in the scuffle before ordering his bodyguard to bitch slap him too.
According to the documents, Levine says he continues to suffer mental, physical and emotional pain as a result of the altercation. The pap was working for TMZ.com at the time when his fateful run-in with the paparazzi choker occurred.
During the June 30 incident on a public street outside a Hollywood nightclub, Harrelson became irritated with Levine and asked him to stop shooting. When Levine continued to roll, Harrelson walked over to him, put his hand on the camera and again asked Levine to stop. Levine responded, "All I'm doing is my job." After another exchange, Harrelson broke the camera.
Levine is also suing the bodyguard.
