Kate Beckinsale must have missed her calling as a stand up comic because she's always saying the funniest stuff. Recently she gave her opinion about someone's stupid comment that there was some sort of 'competition' for roles between herself and Eva Longoria.
The 'Underworld' star laughs off any notion that the lil 'Desperate Housewife' would be considered for the kind of sh*t-kicking heroine roles that Kate owns.
What? Kate, didn't you see Eva whip out that .45 in "The Sentinel"? She looked. so. dang. menacing...
Apparently, the two females became BFF after the English actress moved to LA.
But Kate ("I prefer sex to cooking") Beckinsale insisted that she does not regard Eva as a rival and that their dissimilar physiques prevented them from competing for film roles.
"How could Eva and I be up for the same parts? She's tiny and I'm fascinated by little people," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"Having said that, I feel like a giant. I've always felt a clunky girl. I could ski home on my feet," she added.
Kate won't be reprising her role as Selene in the upcoming pre-quel "Underworld:Rise of the Lycans" flick due next January. The starring role has been handed off to fellow Englishwoman sh*tkicker Rhona Mitra.
