Eminem is coming out of retirement some four years after announcing he was done with writing, recording and touring. The 35-year-old rapper has kept a low profile and battled health problems since releasing the Encore album in 2004.
But now Em has begun working on new material. 'Everything is good,' he says. 'I'm just in the studio working on songs and stuff like that.'
The rapper himself has confirmed the breaking news on his own radio station Shade 45 on June 10 when he was doing a prank to LL Cool J, who was being interviewed there. After the call, Slim Shady revealed that he is currently working for his first set in four years.
Previously G-Unit leader 50 Cent hinted to Blender magazine that Em is preparing new stuff:
"He’s got a new album coming. He’s not gonna tell people that, but he’s making new music. I’ve heard a few songs, and it’s hot. He won’t tell nobody he’s working on a new album, but I’ll tell you: he’s working on new music. And once he locks into it, like, ‘This is my favorite sh*t,’ it’s gonna come out."
