Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is back in rehab. The 60-year-old frontman and father of Liv Tyler checked himself into a clinic of the Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California.
Friends of the rock legend, who had reportedly kicked drug and alcohol addictions 20 years ago, are pointing the finger at the rocker’s girlfriend Erin Brady as the source of the mess.
The Herald newspaper says that the singer’s friends cite the combination of Tyler’s hard-partying, 30-something girlfriend, as well as poor health, as the cause of his troubles. Tyler has apparently developed a dependence on painkillers.
Two years ago, Tyler’s wife of 17 years, Teresa - who friends call “the love of his life” - left him for a younger handyman. He took up with Erin soon after that.
Let's hope Steve gets past this sad episode - but there's more bad news: rumor has it that Erin has checked into the same rehab center with him!
