The snooty 5-star Carlton Hotel in Cannes has pissed off Madonna royally and she's not about to pay her hefty hotel bill after she found out a camera crew had filmed in her suite. The singer was in town for the Film Festival last week and was shocked when footage of her hotel room appeared on French television.
Madge was in Cannes to promote her documentary, "I Am Because We Are", about orphans in Malawi.
A TV crew got into her room - the Sir Sean Connery Suite - and filmed the boring but sumptuous surroundings of a superstar: a fridge full of bottles of purified water and two treadmills she had requested.
And that was it! In other words, nothing truly of interest was in that room, other than it is a beautiful suite...
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the film crew went in BEFORE Madge arrived, but Madonna was still so angry with the hotel that she refused to pay the $93,000 bill.
