Pop tart Britney Spears blew about $61 million since her troubling head shaving incident in February 2007, according to In Touch Weekly who ran the numbers by an L.A. accountant. That figure includes the $50 million she could have banked had she gone on tour when her album 'Blackout' dropped.
A family friend comments, "It’s staggering how much money has been used up."
InTouch Weekly reports that in addition to her hefty tab for legal bills, rehab and psychiatric care, Britney’s inability to work has cost her a fortune.
Robert Bianchi, an LA-based CPA, estimates that “By not touring for her last album [Blackout], she lost out on $50 million.”
Another insider said, "It’s been quite a challenge getting things under control. Luckily, as Britney’s mental health improves, so does her bottom line. She’s spending about a fifth of what she used to."
