CBS News, which pays perky Katie Couric a whopping $15 Million a year for reading the evening news, is thinking about kicking her to the curb and maybe trying someone else to get them out of last place in the 3-network news race. The Washington Post is claiming CBS is willing to offer perky Katie a sweet spot on 60 Minutes, or her own talk show, or anything! just to get the bitch off the air so they can look like a real news organization again.
After two years of pitiful ratings, the perky Chatty Katie, the first female solo anchor of a broadcast network newscast, is likely to part company from the slot as early as next November - just after Americans get done watching the presidential election coverage - on the other news channels.
Her arrival on the CBS evening news plunged it to the bottom of the 3-way race where it has stayed there ever since.
Despite replacing the tarnished Dan Rather, the popular perky Couric's number of viewers lags far behind the other two newbies at rival networks - NBC's Brian Williams who replaced Tom Brokaw, and ABC's Charles Gibson who replaced Peter Jennings.
