Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z finally tied the knot on Friday, according to a report by People.com. "It happened earlier this evening," a friend of the couple said on Friday night. "Jay wanted it to be a really private affair — close friends and family."
The ceremony reportedly was held at Jay-Z’s Manhattan apartment where guests included Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Marriage buzz surrounding the couple began Tuesday when the couple went to get a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.
Dating since 2002, Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26, have drawn wedding speculation for a long time, always keeping quiet about their relationship, People.com reported.
About the only confirmation we have from an identified source is from Mary J. Blige who let the cat out of the bag while performing with Jay-Z in North Carolina Saturday night. OK! Magazine reports: "Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B," the singer announced to the audience at the beginning of her set at the Greensboro Coliseum.
So, there it is. Congrats to Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
