Gorgeous actress Kate Beckinsale does have a tendency to say a lot of stupid things now and again. And again. And yet again. Her latest claim is that she looked like a troll as a teenager and hasn't managed to shed the heaps of insecurities the horror of looking in a mirror must have brought down on her psyche.
"I was monumentally ugly until I was about 15," she quips, "so I still have that mindset." Yeah, Kate, sure.
The 'Underworld' and 'Van Helsing' star says she was so concerned about her looks while growing up, she convinced herself no boy would ever be interested in her.
"I grew up feeling and looking like an ugly duckling and that was such a huge part of my self-image. I could not even accept boys paying me attention."
She says she sometimes feels so unattractive she won't go out: "I have days when I feel great, and days when my ass won't fit in my jeans and I don't leave the house."
