The father of late actor Heath Ledger has vowed to make sure the star's daughter Matilda, 2, and ex-fiancee actress Michelle Williams are financially "taken care of", after they were left out of the actor's will. Ledger, 28, died in New York in January after a drug overdose. He had written a will in 2003 but had not updated it after his daughter was born.
Details of Ledger's will - filed in Australia in April 2003 - were revealed on Saturday, in which he leaves everything to his parents Kim and Sally and his older sister Kate.
The will was compiled before Ledger made 'Brokeback Mountain' in 2005 when he met his fiancee-to-be Williams - the mother of Matilda.
However, both Ledger's representative Mara Buxbaum and his dad Kim Ledger have dismissed speculation Williams and little Matilda will not be provided for, reports People.com. Ledger's estate is reportedly worth $25 million.
Buxbaum says, "The story is getting taken out of context and media is speculating that this means Matilda and Michelle will not be taken care of. I want to make it very clear nothing could be farther from the truth."
And in a statement released on Saturday afternoon, Kim adds: "Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family. They will be taken care of and that's how Heath would want it to be."
