Fugees star Wyclef Jean [pictured left] has recorded a radio message urging people in his native Haiti to give up crime.
"If you love Wyclef that means you love Haiti," the rapper, 35, says in an advert for local radio stations.
"So you should not be raping women, kidnapping people and children. There can be no excuse for doing so."
Jean’s message was supported by the UN peacekeeping mission in Haiti.
Wyclef - who provides aid and assistance to the country‘s poorest people through his Yele Haiti foundation - was born in Haiti, but moved to New York with his family when he was nine.
