You thought it was going to be David who would be the problem, but it turns out it's Eddie who's blown up the Van Halen tour. Apparently guitarist and band founder Eddie Van Halen has been acting bipolar and weird and showing up smashed and late for gigs. The official word for the cancellation is that Eddie is "battling issues."
According to TMZ.com, the blame lies on Eddie’s poor performances after he turned up for several gigs apparently intoxicated.
The group had to cancel two concerts in Virginia and Georgia last month but rescheduled the dates for mid-March. But now there are reports that claim the remaining tour dates have been pulled indefinitely.
The band - who reunited with original singer David Lee Roth last year - were scheduled to play dates across the US until mid-April, but sources say all of the band’s hotel reservations have been canceled too.
