Amy Winehouse has taken a trip out of rehab to meet with US Embassy officials in London, in the hope to getting a visa to travel to the States to perform at the Grammy Awards.
“No decision” has been made about the star’s appearance at the ceremony next weekend, at which she is nominated for six awards, the 24-year-old’s spokesperson said.
Amy, who checked into a north London rehab centre last month, was accompanied to her embassy meeting by her father and a nurse.
"The appointment at the US Embassy was made some time ago and was part of process for obtaining a visa," the singer’s spokesperson said.
"Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."
Winehouse checked into rehab on January 24, after a video appeared on a newspaper website allegedly showing her smoking a crack pipe.
