While Lindsay Lohan's mom Dina thinks her daughter's nude pics are the shit, her pappa Michael says he's not gonna peek. Mr. Lohan has yet to see the topless shots of Lindsay as a freckled Marilyn Monroe, according to Us Magazine and says: “I’m not going to look at the photos — that’s my daughter!”
“Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career,” he says. “It’s her decision."
Meanwhile, Lilo now says the pictures weren't supposed to be for publication. Lilo says she's shocked - shocked! - that the risque pics appeared in New York magazine. Yeah, right.
Apparently the photographer Bert Stern, 78, who shot the original session with Monroe in the nude way back when, had suggested a much less revealing homage to Lilo to appear in New York magazine.
The rumor is that Stern might have suggested to Lilo that the nude shots would be displayed only "in a museum" and that tamer less revealing shots would go to the magazine.
He then added that he hoped Lindsay doesn't fully follow in Marilyn's footsteps, because the blonde star died of a drugs overdose aged 36. "I pray there are no parallels to her and Marilyn Monroe's destiny."
Papa Michael says he does realizethat being asked to recreate Stern's famous 'Last Sitting' photos of Marilyn was a huge honor for Lindsay.
He told to Us Weekly: "The fact that the photographer Bert Stern who did Marilyn Monroe's pictures would ask Lindsay to re-create them - that's an amazing thing."
