Fans of bad acting, over-the-top violence and Casper Van Dien can rejoice at the news that the trailer for Starship Troopers 3: Maurader is now available online.
Paul Verhoeven's first film is a guilty-pleasure cult classic, the second was a reviled piled of dog poo, but there's hope that the third installment will hopefully recapture the fun and cheeseballness of the original. Let's Go Crack a Planet!
Leading the galactic troopers will be Casper who is back reprising his role as Johnny Rico and Jolene Blalock (Star Trek Enterprise) who plays Captain Lola Beck.
The $20 million budget is too small to compare this film to the $100 million original which had a solid list of B-list actors such as Denise Richards, Jake Busey, Neil Patrick Harris, Dina Meyer and Michael Ironside. But whatever - Casper is back to lead the troops into another bug squash!
