“These people are fascinated by me, but I haven’t done anything,” Frances Bean, 15, says. “If you’re a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I’m not my parents.”
Well, now she has officially done something - she's modeling in this month's issue of Bizarre and looks great doing it.
The wise-beyond-her-years teen has been sheltered by her rocker mother Courtney Love, and says she understands people's fascination with her as a celebrity kid: "I get it, I really do, but at the same time it's creepy."
Frances can been seen modeling outfits from Evita, Grease and Beauty and the Beast for a fashion spread in the March issue of Harper's Bazaar.
The backdrops are appropriate, says her mother. "Frances grew up on musicals. I think musicals comfort her," Love, 43, tells the magazine. "She's a gay man trapped in a woman's body, like me."
Without dismissing the accomplishments of her folks (her father, the late grunge legend Kurt Cobain was dead before she was 2), Frances advises, "People need to wait until I've done something valid with my life."
