Preliminary ratings for last night's 80th annual Academy Awards telecast indicate they were the least-watched ceremony ever - even 14% lower than the previous lowest year, according to Nielsen Media Research. "No Country for Old Men" won best picture and best director, British actor Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor, but he was about the only name you might recognize from among the winners.

Prince is reportedly considering having hip replacement surgery as the 49-year-old musician has worn out his body from years of bump and grind. The high-heel wearin' Purple Rain singer will have the ball and socket of his damaged hip taken out and titanium replacements cemented in. Apparently, he reluctant to have the surgery, cuz he's a Jehovah's Witness, but it's painful and his days of doing the splits are behind him.
